Songbird is elated to offer her first Women’s Retreat! 

Are you craving a feeling of connection to self and to sisterhood? Then this experience has been curated just for you! 

You will be led down a path of self discovery by means of the sacred plant medicine cacao, somatic movement with primal expression followed by a relaxing sacred sound journey! Guided by Jessica Olson (Songbird) and Ilia Maria, you will engage in heart-opening activities, lean into holistic movement while connecting on a deeper level with one another and especially to self! Answer the call and experience these natural healing modalities. It's a time to nourish the spirit, cultivate community, and discover the beautiful experience of sisterhood.

Arrival: 12:30pm to settle into the blissful afternoon. *No arrivals after 1:00pm

Songbird is a Sound Practitioner, Reiki Master, and Lovelight Bringer on a mission to hold sacred space as well as a safe container while you come to your own inner healing! Offering sound medicine to anyone who is in search of a relaxing yet powerful healing modality. This beautiful meditation is sure to align your frequencies! Using instruments such as crystal singing bowls, shamanic medicine drum, gong, and more, all intertwined with her enchanting vocals, it is surely a relaxing and memorable experience. A sound journey relieves stress, anxiety, insomnia, and lowers blood pressure. Release what no longer serves all while manifesting your desires! 

        Sound is medicine, allow her to be of service and take you on a journey!

Ilia Maria is a personal trainer and dance instructor with a fiery presence helping you discover untapped energies within yourself! Explore the power of movement and self-expression in Ilia's somatic dance session! This is a space where you can unleash your emotions and thoughts through the language of your body. The beat of the music doesn't just reach your ears - it seeps deep into your bones, urging every part of you to move, express, and to be free. Get ready to embark on an electrifying journey with the Somatic Release session, where we dive deep into the essence of primal expression and sounds. 

We will begin with a gentle flowing warm-up to connect with your inner self, then move into structured improvisation where you can let go and explore freely. Allow your body to speak the words your heart cannot, and let the music guide you on a journey of self-discovery and liberation.

Cacao has been known as "Food of the Gods" & the "Fruit of happiness"

A cacao ceremony is a sacred ritual that involves drinking a delicious warm beverage which is made from the seeds of the cacao tree. Our ceremony will begin with the opening of sacred space while setting intentions for the gathering. 

The ceremony has its roots in ancient Mesoamerican civilizations, where cacao was considered a sacred plant with potent healing and spiritual properties.

Cacao is considered to be a heart opener with physical and emotional benefits. Releasing endorphins and other mood enhancing compounds, which can induce feelings of euphoria and relaxation. It’s the same chemical your brain produces when you fall in love.

  The cacao we will be experiencing for this event is from a beautiful women's collective located in Guatemala. 

  Allow Cacao to lift your spirits, nourish your soul, and foster feelings of empathy, gratitude and joy as we embark on this journey of sisterhood.

Herbal tea will be offered in leu of cacao for those who cannot consume it.

• This event space is located on the 2nd floor and requires going up stairs. Unfortunately, it is not a handicap accessible location. Please stay tuned for other events at different locations.

• This event is held for the solidarity of women-only. For our brothers and non-binary friends, stay tuned for all-inclusive events in the near future.
